I'm talking full on dark, not just getting a little addicted or going too far. Also, I do know almost the entire show would turn out differently if she was a witch, but assuming the events had been the same and only her powers were different, do you think any of the events would lead her to go dark Buffy?

On one hand I think Buffy as a person is more inclined to darkness than Willow, but I also think she tends more towards self destructing darkness than taking things out on others, and I have a harder time seeing Buffy full on dark. On the other hand, not many expected Willow to do that either, and the magic can be addicting and corrupting in a way Buffy's slayer powers aren't.
If it did happen I think it could either be some time in season six (possibly when Spike attacked her) or I guess possibly after Angel's death. I don't think Buffy would ever go that way though.

She loved Angel so much that I think Buffy would have eventually gone to the dark side after Angel's death. Angel was the only one she loved so I think she would have become Dark Buffy after Angel's death. Only Angel could stop Buffy and make her become good Buffy again.

I really am not sure. I agree that Buffy does have darkness to her that Willow didn't necessarily have before. But Buffy also had to carry around these deep dark emotions while still standing up for justice and fighting for what is right. Willow saw things a little more black and white than Buffy did... Willow definitely was multi dimensional and her addiction to magic during season 6 was definitely different but it didn't feel like it was as dark and gloomy as Buffy can get. So when Tara died- I feel like Willow still saw everything as black and white... and she didn't know how to be anything in between- so she went full on evil. There was no gray matter in her mind. Buffy has never seen things as black and white... so I can't imagine her falling to either extreme (of good or evil).

The only event on this list that could possibly have lead Buffy to going dark in my opinion was Angel's death (as well as the entire ending in Becoming part 2) but Buffy chose to kill Angel. She chose to kill him in order to prevent the entire world (including her and Angel)from being sucked into a hell dimension. Therefore, if Buffy was actually going to go dark- I feel like she just wouldn't have killed Angel and would have allowed everyone in the world to go straight to hell.

Buffy doesn't have it in her. Her calling and humanity is so strong that she would be taken aback by it. nice pick!

If she was a witch by the time she came back from heaven, I can see her getting addicted to the magic, like to ease her pain as Willow did in Something Blue. But going Dark Buffy, I just really can't see that. It doesn't seem like something that would happen to Buffy, even in her most darkest hour.

If there was a possibilty that she would go dark if she was a witch, I think in order for it to happen, she (like Willow) would have to be addicted to magic first.

BTW, where did you get the pictures of Buffy with black hair? I love them!

OCFan123, I've only just noticed you asked where I got the pictures of Buffy with dark hair. They're from one of Sarah Michelle Gellar's movies, called The return. Sorry it took me so long to respond :)
