Rick Riordan didn't write The Hunger Games. Rick Riordan's 本 aren't like The Hunger Games. Just because あなた like Rick Riordan's 書く style(s) doesn't mean you're going to like the style Suzanne Collins took for The Hunger Games.

If you've read Percy Jackson, I assume you're used to painful death, so I doubt THG deaths would be terrible for you. Personally I'm a big ファン of both.
