Let's see I'm in seventh but I read at an adult level so...
Unbroken a world war II story
Life of pi
Carrie
The green mile
My sisters keeper
The lovely bones
Any 本 によって Sophia kinsella(hilarious but careful romance!)
The help
It's kind of a funny story
(this is not exactly a coming of age book but it's worth the read to understand the true feel of it's like to be addicted even though it's not really a bio) a million little pieces
The stand
To kill a mockingbird

That's all I can think of right now but hope this helped!:)

It depends what your teacher considers "appropriate."

We just finished Catcher in the Rye in my tenth grade English class, but the main character curses in almost every sentence. It's in our curriculum though, so it might be okay for あなた too. It's like, the most well known coming of age book around.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is really good too, but there's a rape scene in it, but it's brief and not all that graphic.

Looking For Alaska is pretty good too. It's young adult and entirely appropriate, drug use and alcohol aside lol.

(Wow, 100% appropriate 本 are hard to find...)

To Kill A Mockingbird, too. Though that's sort of obvious and you've probably already read it.

The 凧, カイト Runner is about a young kid in a war torn country growing up. I read it a while ago, but I remember it was really good. That one might actually have a rape scene though. It's either that one または the 1000 Splendid Suns one, but yeah the 凧, カイト Runner is good. :)

I really liked Little Women- によって Louisa May Alcott. It's about 4 young ladies who learns important life lessons. It's historical fiction and I 愛 it.

It's really thick.
