What is your opinion of Mr.Lefroy?

James McAvoy's performance is a passionate and complex look into Tom Lefroy's life and once-in-a-lifetime 愛 with literary アイコン Jane Austen.

His interactions with Jane in the beginning of the movie remind me a lot of Pride and Prejudice's Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet; constantly at each other's throats, with Jane emulating Elizabeth's initial hostility to perfection, and Tom challenging all her beliefs.

あなた can plainly see through James' portrayal that Tom uses his reckless, PLAYBOY（プレイボーイ） reputation to mask his desire for 愛 and warmth, and to try and forget that his family is relying on him for protection and provision. When that burden eventually prevents him from being able to marry his true love, あなた can see the heart-break all over his face.

Even though he married someone else, and it could be presumed he even found 愛 again, it is clear when they meet again at the end of the film that he still loves her, and always will.
