Hi guys, since I have both the soundtrack and had seen the stage version on Youtube. Here is my review on both versions.

The Animated Version

Like all of you, I grew up with the animated version. The 音楽 and the scores are really spectacular that it's no wonder that Alan Menken won an award for the movie! I was very blessed that I grew up with the soundtrack and I got it again along with the musical!
The story also has 2 moral values, don't judge a book によって its cover and beauty comes from within. It taught us that humans are very complex with their behaviour and we have our strength and weakness. In other words, nobody's perfect!

The Musical Version

While the story is the same, a number of changes were highlighted. The beast was tone down for comic relief, especially during the scene where he storms into Belle's room, forcing to come down for ディナー with him while the 3 magical objects attempt to calm him down. I just died at this scene.
The narrator's line at the prologue was also change from the Beast's 21st Birthday to Many Years, making もっと見る sense towards its animated counterpart. I personally think that this line should be in the movie too, since many were misled によって it!
After the passing of Howard Ashman, Alan Menken turned to British lyricist, Tim ご飯, 米 to write もっと見る songs for the musical stage version. It sounds perfect on stage too!
