Is anyone here an adult beginner? (16+ when あなた started?)

I just turned 17 on thursday, I bought my slippers today, and I'll be starting in an open adult beginner class in the 次 couple months.
I'm really nervous, could anyone please give me アドバイス on what it'll be like または how I could prepare?
