Not really. She seems like just another token disabled person because they couldn't give another medical problem to a character they already had. Especially not a big one like blindness. When did all the kids in Elwood City become "special" in some way?

I have nothing against using disabled characters, but when you just keep piling them on, with special, overly sensitive focus that makes being disabled seem like a superpower, it gets annoying.
