Tyler extended his hand towards Lilly. She took it and he helped her up. She saw his muscles ripple as he did so.

“So,” Tyler said. “Do あなた always try and board ships like that?”

Lilly giggled. A gentle breeze blew his ビーチ blonde hair, perfectly framing his shining green eyes.

“Hey, I’m about to start my break, so I was wondering if あなた would like to have lunch?” Tyler asked.

“Sure, but it’s my treat,” Lilly said. Tyler opened his mouth to argue but Lilly shook her head. “You saved my life. It’s the least I can do.”

“Fine,” Tyler said, picking up her bag. “Meet me in front of the restaurant.” He picked up her suitcase and took it to the hold. Lilly went to find the captain’s quarters. She looked everywhere.

“Where is the freaking cabin?” she mumbled to herself. She turned around to find a door labeled Captain’s cabin. Lilly blushed and opened the door. The captain sat at his desk, drawing something on a map. Lilly had entered the room without making a sound, she had a talent for doing that. She walked up to the 机, デスク and cleared her throat.

The captain looked up and smiled. “May I help you?”

“Yes, I am a last 分 passenger and I didn’t have a chance to give あなた my ticket. I just wanted to let あなた know so that I am not mistaken as a stowaway.” Lilly pulled her ticket out of her 財布 and set it on his desk. She walked out of the room and headed towards the restaurant. I get to see Tyler again, she thought. Her stomach filled with 蝶 and she started to get all giggly again. What is wrong with me?! she thought. Why am I getting all excited about lunch. Tyler is just another guy.

She had finally calmed herself down によって the time she arrived at the restaurant. She saw Tyler waiting for her and she got all excited again. Her eyebrows furrowed as she tried to figure out why she was overreacting.

“Is everything alright?” Tyler asked as she approached him.

“Yeah. Everything is perfectly fine,” she said, a smile spreading across her face.

“Perfect,” Tyler said, smiling as well. Lilly’s ハート, 心 fluttered with pleasure. Tyler took her hand and led her to their table. He pulled out her chair as she sat down.

“Welcome to the Fancy Fish. My name is Ryan and I will be your server today.” He handed them their menus. “Can I interest あなた in something to drink?”

“I’ll have a Diet Coke,” Tyler said.

“A Root ビール for me please,” Lilly replied. The waiter nodded and walked away. Lilly looked at her menu, trying to decide what to get. Everything looked so good. The waiter walked up and placed their drinks on the table.

“Are あなた ready to order now?” he asked with a fake smile on his face.

“Yes, I would like the bake sirloin, medium rare.” Tyler said, handing him his menu.

“And for you?”

“I think I’ll have the lemon-peppered tilapia,” Lily said. Ryan took her menu and walked away.

“So,” Tyler said, resting his elbows on the table. “tell me about yourself.”

“What do あなた want to know?” Lilly said, mimicking his movement.

“Well, for one, why is a teenage girl traveling to Ireland によって herself?”

“I ran away from home,” Lilly said, in a matter-of-fact voice.

“Oh, and why is that?”

“Because my adopted mother lied to me about my real parents. She told me she didn’t know them, when she actually did. She had a personal relationship with them. I overheard her talking to someone and she 発言しました that my real father lives in Dublin, so that’s where I’m going.”

“Really. That’s different. But, if あなた need a ride to Dublin, I live there. I’m off work after we arrive in port, so I could give あなた a ride.”

“Really! That would be great!” Lilly placed her hand over his. “Thank あなた so much.”

“No problem,” Tyler shrugged. “But, I have another question. What does your father look like

“No idea.”

“Do あなた have a name?”

“No.

“Address?”

“No.”

“Then how do あなた expect to find him?”

“I don’t know.” Tears started to well up in the corners of her eyes. She quickly wiped them away and took a deep breath. She looked up at Tyler and smiled. “Enough about me. I want to know about you.”

Tyler explained about how he got into boating and all the adventures he had. The waiter brought them their food. They continued to talk and laugh while they ate. At the end of the meal, Tyler started to pull out his wallet.

“Ah, ah,” Lilly said. “My treat, remember.” She pulled out a little makeup bag where she had put the cash she saved up. Tyler’s eyes grew wide.

“Where did あなた get all that money?” He asked, as she handed the waiter a $100 bill.

“I was saving up for a car, but I am using it as my run away money now, until I can find my dad.” They walked out of the restaurant.

“Where should I meet you?” Lilly asked.

“By the spot where they unload the luggage.” Tyler said. He took hold of Lilly’s hand. “Until 次 time, my fair lady.” Lilly smiled as he kissed her fingers. She watched him walk away. In a trance like state, she walked to her キャビン and collapsed on her bed. She giggled uncontrollably for the 次 five minutes. When she finally stopped, she leaned against the ウォール and turned on the TV.

It took the ボート four hours to get to Belfast. Lilly had almost died of boredom. The TV was only 表示中 reruns of movies, there was no place that she could cook, there was nothing to do on the boat, and she couldn’t hang out with Tyler. When the ボート finally stopped, Lilly practically jumped onto the dock. She found where they were unloading the luggage and waited.

“Hello, there.” A voice behind her made her jump. She turned to see Tyler chuckling.

“That’s not funny,” she 発言しました crossing her arms over her chest.

“No, of course it isn’t.” Tyler smiled. “Come on, let’s go.” Lilly grabbed her suitcase and followed Tyler to his car. She loaded her suitcase into his トランク and hopped into the passengers seat. Tyler started the car and they were off.
