アニメ Article: Why I like アニメ x

If there is anything that I like もっと見る than life itself, it’s Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and of course, anime. I saw my first アニメ almost ten years 前 during a stage where I just couldn’t sleep through the night. Every night I would go to sleep and wake up a mere three to four hours later unable to fall in sleep again. My first anime, Yu Yu Hakusho, had a five o’clock 表示中 everyday on Toonami and originally Adult Swim. The epic tale of Yusuke Urameshi drew me in. I completely loved it to death, this lead me to looking up the 表示する and discovering that it was not just a regular cartoon, it was anime. This explained the beautiful artwork, and why it differed from other shows. At this point in time I was just a ten 年 addicted to テレビ shows such as Power Rangers and Invader Zim. Discovering アニメ really changed what I watched. And in a way, I guess it just gave me something to watch every morning when I couldn’t sleep. It was way better than those 時 long テレビ advertisements; quite frankly everything was better than those vacuum commercials.

• アニメ has beautiful artwork

Okay, not EVERY アニメ has beautiful artwork. But アニメ like: Kuroshitsuji, Soul Eater, Death Note, Durarara!!, Baccano!, Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu, Ouran High School Host Club, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, Junjou Romantica , hell I could go on and on, all have great artwork.

•Character デザイン

Once again, not all アニメ have good character designs. One of my absolute お気に入り things about アニメ is the facial expressions. I 愛 how each expression denotes moods and thoughts. Everything from the bloody nose, the sweat drop, または the ‘X’ eyes to 表示する a knockout is pure ゴールド to me. I just adore it.

•Japanese culture

Okay, their culture doesn’t normally survive the dub. But I’m basically talking about the story themes adapted into the アニメ as well as the culture of the Japanese. Everything from Japanese history, beliefs, and classical literature are adapted in anime. Since I always found the Japanese culture to be a beautiful and interesting one, it is a major bonus for me.

•75% of American テレビ sucks

Japanese and UK テレビ is 100% better than most American shows.

ceiling_yamada I totally agree !!(though I dont watch dubs, I personally think subs are better). I guess you could say my first anime was probably Mew Mew Power (Tokyo Mew Mew), or Megaman or Pokemon or One Piece, but I didn't really consider it as 'anime' when I was five or six years old sitting in front of the TV watching saturday morning cartoons(lol). Actually my big bro was the one who first got my interested in anime. It was about a year ago, and i had seen him watching anime (i think ika musume or something like that), and I thought, "What a weirdo. Who watches anime in America? (southern cali to be exact)", little did I know that I too would be addicted to anime in just a short time it was introduced to me. I look but and laugh at myself for thinking my big bro was weird cuz he had Miku Hatsune on his Zune and had pictures of anime chicks on his laptop. My first anime that I consider actually watching it with intentions was either Fairy Tail or Working!!, both of which drew me into the "closet otaku" I am today XD

Knight_Sentinel Totally agree with your article, especially the part about most American tv shows, most of them do suck. That's another reason I like anime, many of them have better plots and more interesting characters than US shows.

ixAthena ^ I agree. Most American cartoons are based on pointless comedy without any plot and most American shows tend to have plots that drag on.

Sejuru Anime and japanese are really the best...
