Also, The Wind Rises, the 2013 Studio Ghibli movie... that was really sad, especially near the end.

i kinda shed i tear in 愛 Live too! though i didn't really mention it due to it being on a certain part...then again, its kinda like K-on too so...give me a sec *edits answer*

Fullmetal Alchemist (I read the マンガ cuz my rents won't let me have Netflix) did have a few tearjerkers, but the three saddest anime/manga I've known are:

3. Bleach. This is kinda biased, but it's cuz my お気に入り character, Toshiro Hitsugaya, was killed, as so many people have spoiled it even though I'm not that far yet!

2. Hetalia. Even though it's a funny, humorous anime, it does make あなた cry sometimes. Examples are: Joan of Arc's Execution, the Revolutionary War, Holy Rome leaving Italy for war, never to return again, just to name a few.

1. AnoHana. Though I have yet to finish even the first episode, I've seen the strongest people I know burst into tears just talking about it. From what I have seen, it is too sad to process.

Also, I'll toss Deathnote in there somewhere. SPOILER: The 2 main characters both die!!!!! Light kills L（デスノート） (just when L（デスノート） trusts Light enough to give him is name) and Light is shot my Masuda! FRIGGIN MASUDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
