My mom calls it "Japanese Cartoons" and my dad calls it "Cartoons". アニメ is pretty much Japanese カートゥーン and cartoons, just with a different name. So I'm not the least bit bothered によって it.

Than wear a cartoon PBS Kids baby t-shirt. I like アニメ not baby カートゥーン like you. If あなた don't like カートゥーン than don't wear Sesame 通り, ストリート cartoon shirt. I embarrassed him in class and got back at some guy boy in school class and embarrassed him. he wanted to fight me but I didn't cause I was not about to get into trouble at school.

My mom is always mixing up anime, manga, cartoons, and vocaloids. I got a DVD in the mail from netflix, it was an アニメ I ordered so when my mom went to give it to me she 発言しました "one of your ボーカロイド came". Since she's obviously not into it または anything, and she really doesn't care that I am, I've basically just 与えられた up on really trying to correct her. In the end I know she doesn't mean any harm によって it and it really doesn't matter.

My mom likes アニメ quite much. As for my stepdad he sometimes calls アニメ a "cartoon" which does upset me a little bit but for the most part I just ignored it

lol whenever I watch アニメ and my mum sees, she doesn't call it アニメ または cartoons, she asks if I'm watching Naruto.

アニメ is just japanese カートゥーン and I don't see the reason why people so mad about アニメ being a cartoon it's so stupid when people get angry over this stuff really(my opinion through) and who cares if あなた watch it just because アニメ is a cartoon doesn't mean あなた have to stop watching it または get mad over something so stupid because カートゥーン also teach life lessons as well, アニメ isn't the only cartoon that does this there are a lot of カートゥーン that do the same thing as アニメ does, アニメ isn't different at all really it's just a another style of cartoon really but it's doesn't bother me because people at me about what アニメ is I say japanese cartoon because that's just the way it is really though アニメ isn't any different from カートゥーン and don't listen to people when they say あなた cant watch it just because it is a cartoon.

Yes, they have in the past... and at first, it did annoy me quite a bit... until I realized アニメ technically is a form of カートゥーン (whether we all like to admit it, または not).
I notice a lot of アニメ ファン dismiss people (who call アニメ cartoons) as ignorant, but ironically, the アニメ ファン themselves are the ones being ignorant.
One might argue, "anime can't be カートゥーン because it's not exclusively for children!"
That statement is untrue, because カートゥーン aren't exclusively for children, either. They can range greatly in demographics, just like anime.
Another might argue, "anime can't be カートゥーン because it's not stylized in a western fashion!"
This is also untrue because カートゥーン aren't exclusive to styles from western countries. As a long as a 表示する is drawn または animated, it can be considered a cartoon (regardless of its style または origin).
Even though it annoys me when ファン claim アニメ is not a form of cartoons, I somewhat sympathize with them. アニメ has evolved into such a unique form of animation, that it's not hard to understand why one would want to separate the two.
アニメ is like a branch (of the 木, ツリー that is cartoons) although, it's not just any branch. It has evolved into such an in depth, complex branch that あなた almost want to consider it a separate tree.
Anyway, the way I see it is like this... if people want to call Japanese アニメーション "anime", and non-Japanese アニメーション "cartoons", that's fine (in fact, I find myself calling the two によって separate names, as well).
BUT... they need to be aware of the inevitable truth that アニメ is indeed a form of cartoons.

Kind of :P but mostly i just ignore it,after all its basically "Japanese Cartoons"...although my mom sometimes calls it with its name (anime) and sometimes says cartoons,but for some reason i feel all flustered when she says that to my face after discovering me watching...well,i guess that's a natural instinct since i'm mostly known over here for being "Serious Mc Serious"...but anyway,yeah...i ignore and she eventually leaves me alone...oh,and i don't recall my dad ever calling them either because he's mostly at work,only going ホーム on weekends.

Well, I'm one of the people who don't get it why are there so many アニメ ファン who gets so furious when someone calls アニメ a "cartoon" because like what other people have stated above, アニメ is another form of cartoon and the fact that アニメ is the short word for "animation" and that most Japanese people call everything that is animated as "anime" which that includes western カートゥーン too, so あなた need to understand that Japanese people are different people and use the word "anime" to refer about アニメーション in general while the rest of the world only refer the ones that were made in Japan, but I don't care if あなた disagree with me as long あなた can handle and accept my opinion on this "anime is not a cartoon" ディベート back which I found it to be dumb and ridiculous in my opinion and view, but I can handle your opinion back even if あなた disagree with me as I know that each people have different opinions, 閲覧数 and beliefs about something that they like, so I'm fine with that.
