What do あなた consider the greatest tragedy in anime?

I would say the death of Toonami in 2008, but there's a chance that [adult swim] might bring it back, so no worries there.

The 次 tragedy I can think of is the demise of A.D. Vision.

To me the biggest tragedy was not going on with Sasameki Koto. The 作者 had really wanted it and so did the ファン and the company literally 発言しました "We think the ending really showed the concept of "Whispered Words" [Sasameki Koto means whispered words] so we ended it." Now the アニメ was only 13 episodes one of which was purely an アニメ exclusive so that's only around 12 chapters shown out of a FIFTY-THREE CHAPTER SERIES. Granted the beginning may be seen as a little shaky and the story itself is pretty slow since there's no キッス until the last chapter but that doesn't make it a bad story. It was just different from the ones where they've been best フレンズ for like 2 months and out of nowhere the one friend says they like the other and then they mack on each other's faces. Yes Sasameki Koto is slow but it makes sense the way the 作者 writes it out and makes it reasonable. That story would have been done some real justice with the magic they can do with アニメーション with the lightning and the voice actors they had [if they had been true to the マンガ which in the 表示する they actual were almost spot on].
