I have a small dog, so during the winter when he goes out, we put a little coat on him, I don't think THAT is wrong.
BUT...
It's not right to do the little things like photoshoots for magazines and crap like that. THAT'S degrading!

if it's to keep them warm...then it's understandable...unless you can see that the animal is annoyed...then they shouldn't be dressed up.......

I think it's ridiculous when people dress up dogs to look like little dolls or children. Ick.

The only time I think it is okay is when it's like snowing or really cold outside and you have to let your short haired dog out or take them for a walk and you put a dog sweater on them so they don't get cold, that's the only time I think it is okay, it has to benifit the dog, I don't like it when people dress up there dogs just because they think it's cute.

Yes i picked no, but i think dressing up your pet should be for keeping it warm, and not to be all cute. my cat hates anything around it's neck, he went NUTS if i put a neclace around him. thats how i found out he doesnt like anyhting around his neck.

My dog got shaved on winter, so we had to give her this jacket thing, but I don't like the whole "style" thing.

Unless it's to keep them warm in the winter. I have a dog who needs the warmth of clothes in the winter. If it's for fun then no. Don't do it.

It does kind of depend on the situation. If it's for health or safety reasons, then of course it's okay. Otherwise, there's not really much point. It could irritate them and make them feel uncomfortable, and they may have no way of telling you this.

Basically, just make sure you know why you're dressing them up - is it for selfish reasons or is it for the animal's well-being?

No. Not when you put them in stupid outfits for the sake of fashion. But certain Dogs like Whippets, Staffies and other extremely fine haired Dogs often need a Dog jacket in the winter and cold days because the cold really gets to them.
