At Tressa’s House:
Later, that Night, at Tressa’s House, she was in her Bedroom, 読書 the Latest Issue of her Favourite ‘Seventeen’ Magazine. She was really excited about becoming a Cheerleader, but that wasn’t easy. She had her フレンズ Marlene, Emma and Lexii, who wanted her to 登録する them. The only thing she didn’t have was her 'Confidence’. She was desperate to get some Tips from her Favourite Magazine.
Of course, she was getting even もっと見る Nervous and Worried.
She was turning the Pages, 読書 the Topic ‘How to be a Cool Cheerleader!’. It said,
‘1) Make your Uniform matching: If あなた are a Blue Team Cheerleader, wear the Blue Sneakers in summer, and White Skates in winter. If Red, then wear matching Red stuff.
2) Accessorize: Don't only wear your Uniform in the same Old way, because any Uniform could transform into something new with just a bit of glam. Add a touch of White Pearly Necklaces. Always add your own style most cheerleaders like ピンク boa's and ゴールド bracelets.
3) Go Blonde: あなた might think about why あなた need to do this, but it really works! If あなた want to be the Cool Cheerleader, who gets all of the Hot Football Jocks, then I'd go with Blond hair. Wear either a Side Ponytail または a Blonde Flutter by. However, if あなた can't go Blonde, then go Brunette. Always add your own Style but no Crazy Colours (Try to pick normal Hair Colours).
4) Don't Miss any Squad Events: あなた might have had the Experience of Missing one Practice または just going away for just 5 Minutes, and the Squad forgets you. If あなた want to stay on Top, don't leave the Stadium. If あなた stay for a While Longer during Practice, they may just remember あなた long enough to know your Rank before あなた leave.
5) Help the New Cheerleaders: If あなた help the New Cheerleaders with Training and Everything, あなた can get some well earned Respect and when the Older Cheerleaders leave, you’re going to be the one who everyone goes to when they need help.
6) Always have Designer Brands: Every Cheerleader has Designer Handbags, Make-up… あなた name it, and they have it! 検索 some Designer Brands, mainly for Handbags.
For Handbags, use: Chanel, and Puma.
For Make-up, be very specific: Apply Midnight Mascara, または Apply Mint Beak Lip-gloss!
Remember: Always chew gum… Chew New Orbit Mint Gum!
7) Practice: Keep Practicing your Cheers and Stunts. あなた can even makes your own Cheers, but make sure they are Creative.
8) Smile: Nobody likes a Cheerleader, who remains Sad または Glum! Always be Confident and keep that Smile on your face! A real smile, not a Fake one! Coaches can understand that によって looking at you!
9) Eat healthy.’
Tressa gulped after 読書 Point 8.
‘Easier 発言しました than done!’ She thought.
Being a Cheerleader was harder than she could have ever Imagined. The First Two Points made sense. Yup! She can Mix-and-match Accessories and wear the Prettiest Outfits.
But what does the Point 3 mean? Go Blonde? First the pages tell Readers to follow the Rules and they’ll fit in. Next, they アドバイス Readers to ‘Just be yourself’? Darn, the 6th Issue of Seventeen!
読書 Point 8 freaked her out even more! Are the Cheerleaders like Robots, always wearing that Smile, even when they’re really tired, nervous または upset? A real Smile comes naturally when it needs to, not all the time!
Just then, the Door opened and her Brother Rico entered.
“Rico?! Tressa’s Room rule Number 1: Knock!” Tressa yelled angrily.
“Cadablagha, sis! (‘Chill, Sis!’)” Rico babbled, ignoring her.
Tressa pushed Rico out of her room and slammed the Door shut.
Just as soon as she sat on her Bed, her Mom opened the Door and walked in.
“Mom! Can’t あなた knock, either?” Tressa growled.
“Well, sorry Sweetie! Your Dinner’s ready!”
Her Mom said, smiling.
“Okay, Mom! I’ll be there in a minute!” Tressa said.
Her Mom left the Room.
Tressa closed the Magazine she had been Reading, and left in on her Desk. She, then, waddled downstairs.
In the Dining Room:
“How was your 日 at School, Pumpkin?” Tressa’s Dad asked his Daughter as she came downstairs.
“Well, it’s been great! I’ve made 3 Friends… and got an ‘A’ on my First Pop Quiz.” Tressa responded, pulling up a シート, 座席 at the Dining Table.
“I’m really proud of you, Sweetie!” Her Mom told her, carrying a plate of Mashed Potatoes with Anchovies.
The Family began eating their Supper, when Tressa’s Mom realized that something was not right with her Daughter, who was eating quite slowly.
“Is something wrong, Sweetie?” Her Mom asked, looking at Tressa.
Tressa paused for a moment, and said, “Nothing, Mom…” She lied.
Her Mom noticed that she was stressing out, “Just be yourself, honey! Everything will be fine sooner.”
‘Just be myself? Hello, people? That doesn't Help! How can I even be myself, when I’m on the Verge of becoming a Cheerleader? I know my Mom tries to make me feel better, but I still think that I should follow the Rules of the Mag!’ Tressa thought, as she continued eating her Dinner…
