It was midnight, which was way past Claudette's bedtime. She wanted to know what the voices were, the one that kept her up at night. She had to find out. Every night, there were voices coming from outside, down the hill, and によって the pond.
But as she crept closer, the voices halted, as she stepped on a twig. "What was that?" one of them asked. "I don't know. Sounds like... a pup maybe?" the other asked.
"Oh no..." Claudette gasped.

"Ow! Don't!" she whimpered.
"Well then, don't get snippy! Now, follow me. NOW." he ordered.
After getting to their camp...
"Ah, so this is my new servant? Looks well fed, strong, and healthy. But what is this gash across her face? Surely あなた haven't hurt her without good reason?" Harin prompted.
"No sir. She started to uh... get a little too snippy for my liking."
Harin looked at Claudette. "Oh, has she? I know she is very, VERY new here, but now that she is here, she needs to know the rules, and how we do things. Kilei, take her to the clearing, where she will learn just that, the HARD way. I'll be there in a second."
"Wait... what? What are あなた going to do?" she whimpered.
"You'll see." Harin said.
After Harin walked over to where Claudette was waiting for whatever was coming next, he sat down, then stood up again. "Rule one: NEVER EVER get snippy." he said, landing a blow down her back, and she yelped. "Rule two: when I ask あなた to do something, あなた do it, または あなた get punished." he added, landing another swipe to her leg, making her limp.
"Ouch! Please stop! I get it!" she begged.

One day, when Eve was on a hunt with Winston, she began to stalk 3 caribou. She called Winston over quietly. They were getting closer and closer, slowly, she was ready to pounce, when one of caribou noticed her. She and Winston started running, and Eve was trying to keep up. All of a sudden, Eve hurt her paw, and fell to the ground, and a caribou hit her. Winston ran after her, and whimpered. He carried her back to the den, and wouldn't leave her until she healed, which was in two days. After that, the first words she 発言しました were "Winston, lets make sure we rip off that caribou's tail, and shove it down it's throat!". And after that day, she had violent mood swings.
