that would depend a lot of cows on factory farms where most animal products come from are confined in small cramped cages their whole life while being artificially inseminated constantly so they keep producing milk and when they get to old they are brutally slaughtered often by having their throats slit and all the calves they have the female ones suffer the same fate as their moms while the males are sold for veal.
yes! it is cruel! but not if they are in a safe,nice environment where they use machines that do not harm the cow but most people just don't care about that! for them it's only important to get their nesquik!
