It really depends on the way they do it. In some farms, the cows are in a natural and happy environment, and they use machines to milk them gently so that they aren't hurt.
But in other farms, they live in cramped barns, barely given any sunlight and fresh food. And the machines used are harsh and painful.

Yeah, I agree wih taytrain. I've milked a cow before at this petting farm I like to go to. She didn't seem to mind.

that would depend a lot of cows on factory farms where most animal products come from are confined in small cramped cages their whole life while being artificially inseminated constantly so they keep producing milk and when they get to old they are brutally slaughtered often by having their throats slit and all the calves they have the female ones suffer the same fate as their moms while the males are sold for veal.

It's okey if the cow is in a safe enviroment, treated with respect and the epiument has been checked so not to hurt the animal

if they are in there natural enviorment then no i dont think It is abuse but If they are in a factory somewhere then yes I do.

yes! it is cruel! but not if they are in a safe,nice environment where they use machines that do not harm the cow but most people just don't care about that! for them it's only important to get their nesquik!

Considering some cows aren't in any rush to leave the dairy after milking... I guess it depends on how well the milkers handle them.

if they live in a field, then no.
if they live in cages, then yes.

The cow isn't harmed when you milk them.

The hand-milked cows are not abused. (mostly)
